All the locations

Local Spots Prize

Three winners, drawn at random once the Kickstarter funds.

Every winner takes home the Developer tier: the First Edition box, the play mat, the street-sign set and a Portfolio Pack of fifteen exclusive holographic cards. On us, paid for by the campaign. Prizes go out only if the Kickstarter succeeds, so every entry is also a vote for the game.

The Developer tier: CityScape Vancouver First Edition box, play mat, street signs and a Portfolio Pack of holographic cards

Collect cards. Earn entries. Win the Developer tier.

3 winners · Free to enter · Entries close November 26

Collect 3 different Local Spots cards for 1 entry, 6 for 2, and 9 or more for 3. Cards from CityScape meetups count too. Share a photo of your cards to your Instagram Story, and tag @cityscapegame and each business whose card is in the photo. We’ll save it to the Local Spots highlight on our profile.

Your account needs to be public, with story sharing on, so we can save your entry.

  1. Maximum entries

Cards are free while supplies last. One per person, per spot. Collect them all and you also keep one more card that isn’t in the game, a reward for finishing the set, not a draw prize.

Entries close Thursday, November 26 at 9:00 am PT.

Prizes are awarded only if the CityScape Vancouver Kickstarter reaches its funding goal. Winners are drawn within five business days of the campaign closing.

Contest details

No purchase necessary. Open to BC residents 19 and older; Quebec residents not eligible. Three prizes of the Developer tier, approximate retail value $125 CAD each ($375 total), awarded only if the Kickstarter reaches its funding goal. Odds depend on the number of eligible entries. Winners must correctly answer a skill-testing question. Closes November 26, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. PT. Full contest rules.

The Spots

Real Vancouver businesses are on the map, and the least we can do is send people their way.

How it works

Four steps, no app required.

  1. A CityScape card stand on a cafe counter, stocked with Mah Milk Bar cards

    Find a stand

Look for the CityScape stand on the counter at any participating spot. Each one holds a card unique to that location.

Cards are free while supplies last. One per person, per spot.

  2. A pair of hands fanning three CityScape location cards above a table

    Collect three

Once you've got three different ones, from anywhere on the map, you're ready for the next step. Six different ones is two entries, and nine or more is three. Cards from CityScape meetups count toward the same totals.

  3. A phone held over a table, composing an Instagram share of three CityScape cards with the businesses tagged

    Share and tag

Share a photo of your cards to your Instagram Story, and tag @cityscapegame and each business whose card is in the photo. We’ll save it to the Local Spots highlight on our profile.

Your account needs to be public, with story sharing on, so we can save your entry. Your entries are set by how many different cards are in the photo, and three is the most anyone can earn.

  4. The Developer tier: the First Edition box, street signs, a Portfolio Pack and the play mat laid out with cards

    You're entered

Three winners are drawn within five business days of the campaign closing, each taking home the Developer tier, on us. Nine or more different cards, meetup cards included, puts you in with the maximum three entries.

One honest ask: the card is free. Support your local businesses whenever possible!

Host a stand

If you run a spot in the game, or you’d like to, here’s the whole deal.

What it is. A small countertop stand holding free copies of the CityScape card of your business. Customers take one. The back links to the game. That’s it.

What it costs you. Nothing. The stand is about 15cm of counter. I build it, I deliver it, I keep it stocked, and I take it away the moment you ask.

What you get. Your card at your counter, your listing on this page with a live pin on the map, a collab post to the game’s Instagram when your stand goes live, and customers discovering that your shop is a playing card, which is a genuinely good conversation at a till.

Who’s doing it. Mah Milk Bar, Del Ray Barbershop, the Museum of Vancouver and more have confirmed. Stands go out to every confirmed spot ahead of the Kickstarter launch on October 27.

How to say yes. Reply to the email that sent you here, or write to samuel.b.parker@gmail.com. I’ll bring a stand by within the week.
